Blue-chip recruit Dawayne Galloway is ready to announce his college decision
Kentucky has a pair of top-200 recruits from Ohio committed in the class of 2025. Marquise Davis and Cedric Works are the two highest-ranked prospects in the class. Another Buckeye State blue-chip recruit could be joining them soon.
Columbus (Ohio) Marion-Franklin senior Dawayne Galloway has finished all his visits and seems ready to make an announcement as the calendar turns to July.
The top-150 recruit and No. 7 overall prospect in Ohio took an official visit to Kentucky from June 18-20. Some major buzz followed that trip to Lexington with Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM) picks rolling in for the Wildcats shortly after. Purdue was seen as the top competitor earlier in this recruitment. West Virginia and Syracuse also got the blue-chip defensive back on campus in June for an official visit. An announcement is tentatively scheduled for July 5.

Dawayne Galloway could become the fourth defensive back to commit to Kentucky this high school cycle joining Martels Carter, Andrew Purcell, and Demarcus Gardner. The Wildcats are loading up at cornerback and spending a high volume of scholarship capital on the secondary for the second high school class in a row.
After adding two commits on Thursday, another big recruiting week could be on the horizon for Kentucky football.
