Availability Report: Arion Carter, Seth McGowan still questionable

SEC football fans now have more clarity on the status of their respective rosters ahead of Saturdays in the fall. The league instituted a new policy in 2024 that requires schools to submit official availability reports.

Each Wednesday of SEC contests, both schools will share an availability report. It will be updated nightly, with one final ruling an hour before kickoff on Saturdays. Players must be listed as out (0% chance to play), doubtful (25% chance to play), questionable (50% chance to play), or probable (75% chance to play).

Kentucky is currently playing the waiting game to see if tailback Seth McGowan can play on Saturday. So is Tennessee with star linebacker Arion Carter.

Kentucky has stayed very healthy all season but is dealing with some notable injuries this week. Starting cornerback DJ Waller Jr. will miss another game. So will rotational wide receiver Troy Stellato. Starting tailback Seth McGowan is still listed as questionable. Starting defensive lineman Kahlil Saunders is still listed as probable.

• LB Ben Bolton: Out
• LB Arion Carter: Questionable

The Vols will be without both of their starting cornerbacks again on Saturday. The pass defense has struggled because of this. Arion Carter leads the team in tackles. His status is still up in the air a night before the game.
