Riley Mulvey enters transfer portal
When a coach gets let go, players will enter the transfer portal. They have been doing that among players on the Iowa basketball team. Another player just joined the growing list. On Tuesday, Riley Mulvey added his name to the list. Mulvey recently went through senior day activities at Iowa, so it was not unexpected that he would be entering the portal.
Mulvey said in a statement released on social media that he was playing to hit the transfer portal.
“After I have completed my degree at the University of Iowa, I have decided to enter the transfer portal as a grad student, but I will always be a Hawkeye at heart.”

This past season, Mulvey played in 19 games, including a pair of starts. He averaged 2.2 points and 1.9 rebounds this year.
He is the fourth Iowa player to enter the transfer portal. He joins Owen Freeman, Brock Harding, and Pryce Sandfort in that process.
