Iowa bench provides spark in win over Bucknell

The Iowa Hawkeyes have very good depth on their basketball team this season. Two of those depth pieces were on display on Saturday in Des Moines with Alvaro Folgueiras and Isaia Howard coming off the bench to provide a spark. Folgueiras led the way on offense with 17 points to lead the Hawkeyes in scoring. Meanwhile, Howard provided it on defense with a career high seven steals, the most by an Iowa player since 2010.

We spoke with both players about the spark that they provide off the bench and how this team responded after a slow start against Bucknell.
