Hawkeyes looking forward to playing in Des Moines
For Trevin Jirak, playing at the Casey’s Center in Des Moines will be a homecoming for him. The freshman center played is high school basketball at West Des Moines Valley and has played nine games in the downtown area, primarily in state tournament games over the years.
For Tavion Banks, he only played in Des Moines for one season, but it was a memorable one at Drake before transferring to Iowa with head coach Ben McCollum. He is very excited to be back in the Capital City on Saturday when the Hawkeyes host Bucknell and hopes to see many of his friends that he made while playing for the Bulldogs.
