Manhertz is ranked the No. 34 player in the 2027 Rivals rankings and the No. 81 player in the Rivals Industry Composite Rankings.

While he’s in the 2027 class currently, he is going to reclassify to 2026 — the class he was originally in.

Manhertz is a 6-foot-7 wing who is known as a shooter. At Green Level (NC) last season, Manhertz averaged 13.3 points, 4.6 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 2.4 steals per game. He also shot 41 percent on 1.8 made 3s a game.

Playing for Garner Road on the Adidas 3SSB circuit this summer he averaged nearly 15 points a game while shooting close to 50 percent from three.

One of the highlights of his summer was a 9-of-13 performance from three en route to 31 points at the 3SSB ‘Earn Your Stripes Invitational’.

“He has plus length with positional size and a projectable frame. Manhertz is thin, but a fluid athlete and has soft touch with deep range. Intriguing upside,” Shaw wrote throughout the summer. ” … he has a consistent shooting stroke with range that extends beyond the arc. He plays a condensed game, within a couple of dribbles, and always on balance. He got to his spots off the ball, and he showed a lot of confidence.”

This year he has notable games of 30 points on 11-of-17 shooting, 8-of-12 from three against Iowa United and 22 points on 7-of-14, 5-of-10 from three against Spire Academy.

Manhertz chose Indiana over Louisville and Duke. He took a visit to Indiana in November.

”They’re very heavy with shooting threes,” Manhertz told Rivals. “I saw their ultimate confidence in their players. Like, if they see you make a shot, they’ll let you keep shooting it. My relationships with them is really good. We have a really good connection. They text me or we talk like every week, and he’s (Darian DeVries) just makes a good connection.

Manhertz will join wing Vaughn Karvala (No. 45) and guard Prince-Alexander Moody (No. 130) who are the current commitments for Indiana in the 2026 class.
