Georgia loses commitment of coveted WR Aden Starling
Georgia’s 2027 recruiting class continues to shift and evolve as things intensify nationally. The Bulldogs have suffered a subtraction on Thursday, according to Rivals’ Sam Spiegelman.
Pearland (Texas) Shadow Creek three-star wide receiver Aden Starling has announced his decommitment from Georgia. Georgia now holds seven commits at the moment.
Starling committed to the Bulldogs on Dec. 4.
He made a trip to Athens for the Bulldogs’ win over Texas back on Nov. 15. Starling loved that experience. He almost committed to the Bulldogs that weekend.
“It impacted my recruitment in a big way by giving me an opportunity to play at a school like that where I can compete for national championships,” Starling said the day after the visit. “Coach (James) Coley telling me he’s ready for me to be a Dawg…They are the team to beat.”

Starling held off and thought about it. Georgia was the place he wanted to be, even in the weeks that followed the visit.
“I felt really at home,” Starling told DawgsHQ on Feb. 16. “And we’ve been talking some ball too, but yeah, it’s been good…After the Texas game, I was really ready to commit. After the game Coach Coley was talking to me in the locker room, he was like, I’m ready for you to be a Dawg’. I really wanted to do it right there. My dad was like, just wait a little bit. Every time I went to Georgia, it just felt like home. No other place that I visited felt like that. So I was like, this is where I’m supposed to be. So I talked to him about it, and I was like, I don’t think I need to wait anymore.”
Multiple programs have surged in Starling’s recruitment as of late. Arkansas has come on strong for the Shadow Creek star.
