Georgia got a boost with the announced return of rising redshirt sophomore Nnamdi Ogboko. The 6-foot-4, 340-pound defensive tackle announced on his Instagram account that he had re-signed with Georgia and that he will be back for Georgia in 2026.

“Thank you to all the fans and supporters of Dawg Nation,” Ogboko said in his post. “I will be returning and am fully committed to bringing home a national championship.”

The rising sophomore signed with Georgia as a member of the class of 2024 and enrolled in late 2023 as an early enrollee. He ranked as the No. 754 overall prospect in the 2024 Rivals Industry Rankings.

Ogboko redshirted in 2024, but did see some meaningful snaps. He played a role in 2025 as well. Ogboko played in all 14 games in 2025.

He collared 10 total tackles, one sack and one tackle for loss. Georgia will be returning a big group of contributors from the 2025 season along the defensive front. The Bulldogs will lose Christen Miller, who has entered the 2026 NFL Draft.

The Bulldogs signed five high school recruits who will join the fray in 2026 as well. Ogboko’s younger brother, Ekene Ogboko, has also signed with Georgia. He enrolled in December for bowl practices. The younger Ogboko brother signed with the Bulldogs as a five-star prospect.
