Georgia five-star tight end signee Kaiden Prothro has received another major high school honor on Thursday night. The No. 30 overall prospect in the Rivals Industry Rankings was named Mr. Football for the state of Georgia for the 2025 season.

Prothro broke Georgia’s state career receiving touchdown record with 66 touchdowns in his four seasons at Bowdon High School.

Bowdon won four straight state titles with Prothro as one of the key leaders for the Red Devils. He has already enrolled at Georgia after signing on Dec. 3.

Prothro committed to Georgia back on July 12, 2025. He’s already looking forward to the opportunity to develop and potentially contribute early in his career in Athens. Georgia will lose one of its starters, Oscar Delp, for next season.

Lawson Luckie, Elyiss Williams, Ethan Barbour and Jaden Reddell all return. Georgia also signed four-star Brayden Fogle and Lincoln Keyes.

Prothro is ready for whatever he’s asked to do in Athens.

“I’m just ready to just go down there and compete,” Prothro said back on Dec. 16. “It may not be easy for me, but that’s the reason I picked Georgia. I just wanted a little challenge. I feel like Coach (Kirby) Smart and the coaches he has around him is, they’re a great coaching staff. They’ll love you, but they’ll also make sure they get the best out of you. I just feel like that when I go there, it may be easy, or it may be hard. I just wanted to see what the challenge was for me. Georgia’s a great place.”
