Warchant TV: Mike Norvell sizes up progress, goals for FSU heading into spring football practice

FSU capped off offseason training on Friday and have shifted their focus ahead to Monday and the start of spring practice.

“We really maximized the previous eight weeks,” FSU head coach Mike Norvell said in regards to Tour of Duty winter workouts.

He also lauded the value of the football only facility which he estimates has increased efficencies and time spent at the complex by 30 to 50 percent.

Excited ot jump into the spring, we’re definitely ready to start practice,” said Norvell. “It’s a team you feel their hunger. There’s definitely a purpose behind every day they’ve showed up.”

FSU begins spring football on the week of March 7 and will conclude on April 15.

FSU is 7-17 in its last two seasons under Norvell and 38-34 overall in six years. They open the 2026 season vs. New Mexico State on August 29.
