Scouting Report on Teddy Foster

Foster is one of those new-age cornerbacks defensive coordinators covet. He is rarely at a size disadvantage and makes use of his length to intercept or deflect passes. Foster passes the eye test as it is but should fill out and carry his weight well after entering UF’s strength and conditioning program.

Foster does not get tested often but boasts the ball skills to make plays at any time. That is because he spends just as much time at wide receiver.

Foster is accustomed to being a go-to target on offense, making it a smooth transition when blanketing receivers. He also does a nice job of timing his jump to high point the ball. His knowledge at receiver allows him to not give much wiggle room downfield. This is a confident DB.

I’m also a fan of Foster’s physicality. Like I said, offenses are smart to avoid him. When the opportunity presents itself, however, Foster is looking to deliver a stunning blow.

There are times he could do a better job of wrapping up rather than lunging, but I’m a fan of it. He is a willing blocker on offense too; in fact, Foster is relentless when steering defenders out of the play. Getting Foster to play until the whistle is never a problem.
