Gators DL D'antre Robinson enters transfer portal
Florida Gators defensive lineman D’antre Robinson has entered the transfer portal, per On3’s Pete Nakos. Should he end up leaving the program, it would be a significant blow to UF’s defensive line room, which isn’t overly deep. Gators Online had projected Robinson to be a second-teamer on the defensive line behind returning starter Caleb Banks.
Robinson, a former 4-star recruit, posted 17 tackles in 2024 as a true freshman.
Robinson’s high school recruitment at Orlando (Fla.) Jones was a battle between the Gators and Texas Longhorns. He signed with Texas during the 2024 cycle’s Early Signing Period but never made it to campus. He was then let out of his Letter of Intent on Jan. 16, 2024. Soon after, Robinson enrolled at Florida and as a true freshman he showed promise.
He played in 11 games last season with one start, recording 17 tackles (7 solo), 3.0 tackles-for-loss, 1.5 sacks, 1 fumble recovery and a QB hurry. He continued to impress the UF staff in the spring.

“(Robinson is) doing a really good job. Pleased with D’Antre,” Gators defensive line coach Gerald Chatman said in March. “Think he’s a tough kid, great kid to have around the program. He cares about his teammates. He has a skill set — he’s twitched up. So I think he’s one of those guys who’s gonna have a big role this year. And again, a guy that I’ve had since day one – and that’s a special thing.”
Robinson was injured early in the spring game two weeks ago. That severity of that injury isn’t known.
Per Robinson’s official Florida Gators bio, these were his 2024 highlights:
- vs.Samford: Made his collegiate debut and played 14 snaps on the defensive line.
