According to On3’s Pete Nakos, Florida redshirt freshman offensive lineman Marcus Mascoll is entering the NCAA Transfer Portal. He did not appear in any games during his two years in Gainesville.

As a former 4-star prospect with athletic tools, Mascoll arrived at Florida as a developmental offensive lineman and spent his time in the program working primarily with the scout team while adding strength and learning the system.

The graduate of Atlanta (Ga.) South Gwinnett will have multiple years of eligibility remaining at his next stop, making him an attractive option for programs looking to add young depth along the offensive line. His decision comes as Florida continues to reshuffle its offensive line room through both high school recruiting and the upcoming transfer portal.

Marcus Mascoll is the eighth Florida Gators scholarship player to announce their intentions to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal. Other names with plans to move on from the program include sophomore quarterback DJ Lagway, redshirt freshman running back KD Daniels, redshirt freshman tight end Amir Jackson, and junior safety Jordan Castell.

As a member of the 2024 class, Mascoll was the No. 18 offensive tackle and No. 180 overall prospect. That’s according to the On3 rankings. Additional schools that offered in high school include LSU, Georgia Tech, Pittsburgh, N.C. State and UCF. His decision, however, came down to Florida and LSU.
