St. Frances safety Wayne Henry signs with Tigers
The St. Frances Academy pipeline continues to Auburn. The Tigers signed three players from the school in 2025 and have signed one in the 2026 class — safety Wayne Henry. He signed with Auburn Wednesday.
THE HENRY FILE
Position: Safety
Height/Weight: 5-foot-9, 160 pounds
Hometown (HS): Baltimore, Md. (St. Frances Academy)
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 1,420 overall, No. 137 safety, No. 30 player in Maryland
Commitment date: Aug. 5, 2024
Chose Auburn over: Michigan State and Indiana
Time of enrollment: January
Notable: With several familiar faces around Auburn, it didn’t take long for Henry to also call the Plains his home. He committed in August of 2024, and while some Big 10 schools kept in touch, it was never enough to pull him away from his Auburn commitment.

Quotes: “It was a great OV. Very good,” he said. “Just waiting for the time for me to actually sign now. I feel like I’m fully bought in now. It’s just icing on the cake. It’s like I know everything. It’s like my second home. I just know it like the back of my hand now.”

PINK’S ANALYSIS
Wayne Henry is a spark plug. His size will always be below average in the SEC, but his playing style is vicious. It will be interesting to see how it translates against the size mismatches in the SEC. Henry’s quick trigger stands out on film. He can strike from any spot on the field. Henry probably fits as a nickel or slot corner at Auburn.
