SIGNED: LSU transfer DL Walter Mathis Jr. signs with Auburn

LSU transfer defensive lineman Walter Mathis Jr. has signed with Auburn, AuburnSports has learned.

Mathis, who has three years of eligibility, signed with the Tigers on Thursday.

Mathis, who is listed at 6-foot-2 and 285 pounds, is originally from Savannah, Ga. He recorded nine tackles as a true freshman in 2025.

As a recruit, Mathis was ranked by Rivals as a four-star and the No. 26 defensive lineman in the country.
