TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Alabama forward London Jemison limped off the floor and to the locker room near the end of the first half in the Crimson Tide’s 104-93 win over South Florida on Wednesday night. He would not return to the game, and was never seen out of the locker room after exiting the game.

Following the win, head coach Nate Oats provided an update on his status:

“He’s got a knee injury that we hope’s not too severe,” Oats said. “He’s gonna get tested on it tomorrow, hopefully we’ll know more by tomorrow afternoon.”

Jemison made the first start of his career against USF, playing nine minutes, scoring three points and grabbing three rebounds before his injury.

The 6-foot-8 freshman has seen his playing time increase gradually since the start of the season, and was on pace to log double-figure minutes for the fifth time in six games had he not gotten hurt. He was averaging 8.2 points and 2.5 rebounds coming into tonight’s game, shooting 54.2 percent from the floor and 36.7 percent from beyond the arc while being a positive defender.

The next game for No. 16 Alabama is against Kennesaw State on Sunday in Huntsville for the Rocket City Classic. Tipoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. CT on SEC Network+.
