Dre Kirkpatrick Jr. indefinitely suspended after arrest, Kalen DeBoer says
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Alabama safety Dre Kirkpatrick Jr. was arrested over the weekend.
Kirkpatrick, a sophomore, was charged with three counts of reckless endangerment, one count of attempting to elude and speeding. He was booked into the Tuscaloosa County Jail at noon on Saturday, November 1, and was released on $1,500 bond within an hour of his booking.
On Monday, Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer provided an update on Kirkpatrick.
“Unfortunately, with the information I have at this time, talked to Dre, and we need to indefinitely suspend him,” DeBoer said. “He understands there are consequences that come with his actions.”
