Alabama defensive back Dre Kirkpatrick Jr. was arrested on several charges, AL.com reports.

Kirkpatrick, a sophomore, was charged with three counts of reckless endangerment, one count of attempting to elude and speeding. He was booked into the Tuscaloosa County Jail at noon on Saturday, November 1, and was released on $1,500 bond within an hour of his booking.

“We are aware of an incident involving Dre Kirkpatrick Jr. and are working to gather more details this time,” said a statement provided by an Alabama Athletics spokesperson.

Coach Kalen DeBoer is expected to address the situation at his Monday press conference.

Kirkpatrick is in his second year at Alabama and has played in all eight games, contributing on defense and special teams. He is the son of former Crimson Tide standout Dre Kirkpatrick.

Alabama was off this weekend for its second and final bye week of the regular season. The Tide will return to game action on Saturday, November 8, when it plays host to the LSU Tigers.
