Jackson McVey to enter transfer portal

Jackson McVey on Wednesday became the fourth Georgia basketball player to announce his intention to enter the NCAA transfer portal.

McVey confirmed the news via text to UGASports. His decision comes as no surprise.

The 7-foot-1 center did not appear in any games after signing with the Bulldogs out of Overtime Elite as a senior.

A native of Elijay, McVey was a three-star recruit according to On3 before signing with the Bulldogs.

He joins former teammates Dylan James, Jeremiah Wilkinson, and Somto Cyril in announcing their intentions to enter the portal.

The portal for basketball opens on April 7, and runs through April 21.
