UConn commit Olivia Vukosa selected to 2026 McDonald’s All-American game
The UConn Women’s Basketball team will be represented at high school basketball’s all-star event for the 21st time.
Class of 2026 No. 5 recruit Olivia Vukosa was one of 24 players selected for the McDonald’s All-American Game Monday. Vukosa becomes the first Husky since Sarah Strong (uncommitted at time of game), Morgan Cheli and Allie Ziebell to be invited to this contest. Dating back to the inaugural girls’ game in 2002, the 12-time national champions have had over 40 future players selected.

The 6-foot-5 center has guided Christ the King High School to a 7-4 record and a 2-1 mark in conference play. Heading into Tuesday’s match with the Xaverian School, the Royals rank third in New York and 37th nationally. Only Monsignor Scanlan and Long Island Lutheran stand higher in the Empire State.
Vukosa should be the starting center on an East team featuring top-two recruits Saniyah Hall (No. 1) and Kate Harpring (No. 2). Top-15 prospects Savvy Swords (No. 10), Jordyn Jackson (No. 11) and Autumn Fleary (No. 15) further headline the roster. Ben Davis High School (Indiana) head coach Stan Benge will lead an East team seeking its first win in the game since 2017.
The reigning Gatorade New York Girls Basketball Player of the Year will likely face a West team rich with wings. Former UConn targets Jerzy Robinson and Addison Bjorn, as well as Brihanna Crittendon and McKenna Woliczko, highlight the group. Beyond No. 4 prospect Oliviyah Edwards, Vukosa may also compete with Kansas commit Cydnee Bryant down low.
Big O could be the fourth Husky to capture All-American game MVP honors on the girls’ side. Christyn Williams won the award outright in 2018 while Strong and Ann Strother each shared the honor in 2024 and 2002, respectively.
The 2026 McDonald’s All-American girls game will be held on Tuesday, March 31, three days before the Final Four. Tip-off from Diamond Desert Arena in Glendale, Arizona, will be at 5:30 p.m. EDT on ESPN2.
