2026 Ohio TE Jackson Mangham commits to UConn Football
Lewis Center (OH) Olentangy High School three-star tight end Jackson Mangham has committed to UConn Football, he announced on Monday night.
He chose new Head Coach Jason Candle and the Huskies for the second time this recruiting cycle, as he previously was committed to Toledo from October until November. He also considered UTSA, and Western Michigan.
Mangham is the No. 776 overall prospect and No. 50 overall Tight End in the 2026 cycle, according to the Rivals Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 37 player in Ohio.
The 6-foot-8, 235-pounder hauled in 32 receptions for 412 yards, four touchdowns, and one two-point conversion on the year for Olentangy. They finished as the No. 44 team in the state of Ohio, per the Rivals Composite Rankings.
UConn continues to build big 2026 class
Prior to taking over as head coach of the Huskies, the program only had four recruits committed in the 2026 class.
Since Candle was announced back on December 6th, the program has went out and flipped five recruits who were previously committed to and signed with Toledo.
Those recruits including Indiana quarterback Bo Polston, Indiana wide receiver Logan Barnes, Ohio tight end Jackson Mangham, North Carolina defensive tackle Makijah Latimer and Florida linebacker Tyrique Harris. Add in the other four recruits from the previous regime in wide receive Zikhere Leaks, edge Jayden Jones, edge James Tilus and cornerback Cason Dash, you get the No. 131 overall ranked class in the country.
