Rutgers Officially Welcomes 33 Early Enrollees to Campus
With it now being late January 2026, and a new semester has arrived, Rutgers football welcomed a large chunk of their roster to campus via both the high school and Transfer Portal routes.
Of its 22-person recruiting class, 21 of those prospects have completed their high school requirements and officially enrolled at Rutgers this week, which is the biggest group of early enrollees ever in program history. The lone Scarlet Knight signee not to enroll was linebacker Tanner Raymond, who will join the team in the summer.
Enrolling early has become more and more popular over the years, as it allows prospects an extra six months of spending time in the film, weight room, and even gives them an early opportunity to get on the field, as they have 15 spring practices to work with the coaching staff.
Along with the 21 high school enrollees, Rutgers will also bring in their entire Transfer Portal class as well, which currently boasts 12 prospects and is ranked the No. 49 overall in the country per the On3 rankings.
