How Texas Tech’s Senior Bowl Group Checked In
Texas Tech is well represented in Mobile this week, and the Red Raiders didn’t waste any time making their presence felt at the Senior Bowl.
Defensive tackle Lee Hunter, EDGE Romello Height, linebacker Jacob Rodriguez, and wide receivers Caleb Douglas and Reggie Virgil all checked in looking the part, each bringing a different calling card to the table. Whether it was measurable intrigue, positional flexibility, or traits that translate cleanly to the next level, the Red Raiders gave evaluators plenty to talk about before the pads even came on. Here’s a look at how each Texas Tech standout checked in.
Defensive tackle Lee Hunter
Lee Hunter checked in at 6-foot-3 and 4/8 inch and 320 pounds by the scouts at the Senior Bowl. On Texas Tech’s official roster for the 2025 season, Hunter was listed at 6-foot-4, 330 pounds.
Edge rusher Romello Height
Romello Height checked in at 6-foot-2 and 3/8 inch and 234 pounds by the scouts at the Senior Bowl. On Texas Tech’s official roster for the 2025 season, Height was listed at 6-foot-3, 240 pounds.
Linebacker Jacob Rodriguez
Jacob Rodriguez checked in at 6-foot-1 and 1/8 inch and 233 pounds by the scouts at the Senior Bowl. On Texas Tech’s official roster for the 2025 season, Rodriguez was listed at 6-foot-1, 235 pounds.
Wide receiver Caleb Douglas
Caleb Douglas checked in at 6-foot-3 and 2/8 inch and 198 pounds by the scouts at the Senior Bowl. On Texas Tech’s official roster for the 2025 season, Douglas was listed at 6-foot-4, 205 pounds.
Wide receiver Reggie Virgil
Reggie Virgil checked in at 6-foot-2 and 3/8 inch and 188 pounds by the scouts at the Senior Bowl. On Texas Tech’s official roster for the 2025 season, Virgil was listed at 6-foot-3, 190 pounds.
Senior Bowl practice will begin on Tuesday, January 27.
