After just one year at Mizzou, point guard Sebastian Mack plans to re-enter the transfer portal according to a report from On3 National Basketball Reporter Joe Tipton.

Mack, a Chicago product, joined the Tigers after starting his career with two years at UCLA. He ranked as a four-star transfer recruit, but the production didn’t follow him back to the midwest.

Mack opened his lone season at Mizzou as part of the starting lineup. He was one of the first five on the floor in the Tigers’ first nine games and regularly posted at least 10 points. But after playing just seven minutes in the Tigers’ loss to Notre Dame, he exited the lineup and never re-entered.

Mack’s role really diminished when SEC play began as he resisted more than 6 minutes in just one game, with an 11-minute outing against Alabama. He did not play again after that matchup.

The junior guard ended the season shooting 40.7 percent (48-of-118) from the field, 27.3 percent (9-of-33) from 3 and 67.7 percent (21-of-31) from the free-throw line. He averaged 7.0 points, 1.3 rebounds, 0.6 assists and 0.88 steals per game in 18 appearances.

Mack enters the portal for the second time in his career and will have one year of eligibility remaining wherever he ends up.
