Mizzou coach Dennis Gates and guard T.O. Barrett met with media ahead of the Tigers’ matchup with Oklahoma on Saturday.

Here are the full videos of both.

Dennis Gates

“Regardless of the weather, and I want everybody to be safe, there will be a game played,” Gates said. “Unless it’s something where the two teams aren’t able to show up to the gym, or the referees. Precautions have already been made for travel on both sides, the referees and our opponent. So, I would predict there will be a game. Regardless of school or closures or businesses. When our fans do show up, I want you guys to definitely be safe in your travel. Give yourself enough time to where you’re not rushing.”

“You would leave college to go make money. But why would a kid want to leave college sports?” Gates said. “Why? The G-League pays less than college. A scholarship is worse less than G-League play. … This is entertainment now.”

T.O. Barrett

“I think I’ve just been getting more comfortable,” Barrett said. “Just growing confidence and doing the little things. Getting to the paint, finding my teammates and then making plays on defense helps me get into the flow of the game.”

“I grew up an Oklahoma fan, I’m from Oklahoma, my mom went there,” Barrett said. “I’ve been an Oklahoma fan my whole life. Playing against them, against a home school, is definitely special.”
