Despite currently standing 68th overall in On3’s transfer portal rankings, Michigan’s portal period to this point has been a positive one. Kyle Whittingham’s new staff has done an impressive job retaining key talent already on the roster while also adding starting-level players familiar with the system during what has been a turbulent stretch for the program. With the portal’s three-day dead period now coming to a close, U-M will look to continue building on an improved roster, particularly at the following positions of need.
