Will Army Offer 2027 DT Chase Goodrich - Whose Brother Is 2026 Commit, Phillip Goodrich

by: A.M. Allan12/19/25

Chase Goodrich is a talented 6-foot-1, 2027 defensive tackle prospect who currently holds offers from FAU, Navy, Marshall, and Rhode Island.  The irony surrounding his offers is that Chase’s older brother Phillip Goodrich is a 3-Star prospect, who was initially committed to Navy until he flipped and became a member of Army’s 2026 recruiting class.

So, despite not have an offer from the Black Knights, Chase appears optimistic that something might unfold, sooner than later.

Brotherhood At A Different Level

“They (Army coaching staff) … I’ve heard from Coach Allen Smith and Coach Daryl Dixon through my brother Phillip … they had spoken to Phillip about being interested in me and that they had loved my film because he showed them my film when he went on his official visit and that they will take my recruitment from there,” explained the product of St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.

Goodrich Brothers: Phillip (2026 Army Commit) & Chase (2027 Prospect)

“It’s (Army) definitely up there, even though I haven’t been able to get up there to see West Point myself from what I’ve heard from my brother about the coaching staff and also the culture and brother hood they have at West Point is a major thing for me. And also the fact that my brother is a commit to the Black Knights … being able to play with him at the next level is definitely something I would love to do.”

“Also watching multiple games at the D-Line position they have dominated upfront and that is what I love to see,” added Chase, who believes that he has what it takes to be an impact player in Army’s 3-4 defense.

“They had spoken to Phillip about being interested in me and that they had loved my film because he showed them my film when he went on his official visit and that they will take my recruitment from there.”

Eyes On Saturday’s Army-Navy Game (12/13)

Last Saturday’s game served as a slight barometer for Chase, as he chimed in on the contest itself.

“Yes sir we watched the Army-Navy game,” he declared.  “I thought it was a great game overall, even though Army had lost by a point in the end — it was a dominant game by Army for four quarters. With Phillip being committed to Army, our family had been rooting for Army to win.”

“And with me holding the offer from Navy, the win over Army has some weight but of course I am still weighing out my options up until it comes time for choosing my commitment.”

2025 Junior Season

“My team St. Thomas Aquinas 2025 record was 14-1 finishing the season off with a State Championship which is now my second consecutive state championship,” said the very humble, but proud defensive tackle.  “My season stats were 50 total tackles, 21 solo/29 assisted, 15 TFL’s, 5 sacks, and a 68 yard pick 6 in our international game in London.

“As of right now the post season accolades for Florida don’t come out until the end of December going into January, but I wouldn’t be surprised if I do earn some.”

In addition to the gridiron, Chase is wrestles at his high school as heavyweight, which is 285 pound.

Looking Ahead

Is Chase scheduled for any spring or summer camps?

“No sir, as of right now I do not have any camps scheduled to attend as of right now because I am now in wrestling season, but I’m looking forward to earning an invite to the Rivals Camp as well as the UA Next Camp in a couple months,” he answered, as he also provided us with some insight relative to when he would be making his college decision.

“I would love to commit prior to my senior season so it takes that extra weight off my shoulders allowing me to focus on the season,” he explained.  “But of course God will bring the feeling on my heart when I know it’s time to commit to where I believe I can call my home.”
