In March, Army Football held their annual NFL Pro Day event at the Foley Athletic Center.

There were a total of 46 pro personnel in the building today, ranging from 36 different teams across the NFL and CFL. Overall, there were 3 Black Knights (Safety, Collin Matteson, Slotback, Noah Short & Linebacker, Andon Thomas) taking part in 2026 Pro Day.

“Pro Day really turned some heads,” declared Short, which brings to the latest that is unfolding with the “former” Black Knights’ slotback.

The speedster has been conducting pre-NFL draft workouts (local days) with Niners, Patriots, Jets and Giants.

These private workouts are tailored sessions where NFL teams (coaches/scouts) take control of the workout to watch specific players work on their skills and test them on-field.

This past Tuesday morning was with the Pats, Wednesday the Niners, Friday the Giants and the Jets were on Saturday.

The Niners went excellent today,” he shared with  GoBlackKnights.com on Wednesday.  “Felt great, body was fresh and overall two (Patriots and Niners) great organizations.”

The workouts for the respective teams have taken place or will tack place on their practice fields.  Short provided a brief narrative of what the workouts consist of.

“Worked with a strength coach for group warm up, then receiver Indy drills and routes with the QB’s,” he described, as he shared what the post-work out feedback that he has been receiving.

“They just said very general stuff.  Only 3 wide receivers were present, so they appreciated the work and respected West Point a lot.”
