USC Guard Rodney Rice to Miss Remainder of Season
USC point guard Rodney Rice will miss the remainder of the season with a shoulder injury, per release.
The point guard was averaging 20.3 points and 6.0 assists this season in six games before his injury. Rice transferred to the Trojans this offseason after helping Maryland to the Sweet Sixteen in 2024-25. He started his career at Virginia Tech.
Losing Rice is a big blow, but USC freshman guard Alijah Arenas is nearing his return and will be able to play some point guard. The Trojans are 10-1 this season overall and 4-1 without Rice.
