Khani Rooths 'blossoming' at the right time for Louisville basketball

One of the ultimate turning points of the 2025-26 Louisville basketball season was when sophomore wing Khani Rooths returned from his three-week absence due to illness against SMU.  It couldn’t have come at a worse time for Rooths, who was starting to find a groove in the three games leading up to his sickness — one that kept him out of the Cards' practice facility, the Kueber Center, for over a week.
