USF introduces Chris Mack as head coach

South Florida made a surprise hire when the Bulls' CEO of Athletics, Rob Higgins, tapped former Louisville, Xavier, and current Charleston coach Chris Mack as head coach. Mack has won almost 68 percent of his games as a head coach and was 45-20 in two seasons with the Cougars in a one-bid Coastal Athletic Association.
