Colorado LB Shaun Myers plans to enter NCAA transfer portal

Colorado linebacker Shaun Myers plans to enter the NCAA transfer portal, On3 has learned. He spent one season with the Buffaloes, playing for Deion Sanders.

Myers finished his lone season in Boulder with 36 total tackles, 23 solo tackles, one pass deflection and one sack, one forced fumble. Over the course of his college career, which includes time at North Alabama, he has 136 total tackles, four pass deflections, one sack, one forced fumble and two interceptions.

Myers also played at Hocking College in his post-high school career. He played high school football at Nortmont High School (Ohio) and was not ranked, according to the Rivals Industry Ranking.

Myers wasn’t the only one with plans to enter the portal this cycle. Defensive tackle Tawfiq Thomas plans to enter the NCAA transfer portal, On3’s Pete Nakos learned. He spent two seasons with the Buffs after transferring from Louisville.

Thomas appeared in four games this past season, totaling 12 tackles, including 1.5 tackles for loss. That came after he had 20 total tackles, including 2.5 TFLs and a sack, across 13 games during the 2024 campaign.

Prior to his arrival in Boulder, Thomas spent two years at Louisville on the defensive line. Across 22 games, he had 12 tackles before entering the portal and taking his talents to Colorado.
