Louisiana Tech Signs Norfolk State DB Ty Jones
Louisiana Tech announced the signing of defensive back Ty Jones on Friday afternoon.
Jones transfers to Ruston from Norfolk State with one year of eligibility remaining.
When asked about his decision to join the Bulldogs, Jones told BleedTechBlue.com that the program’s culture stood out. “I chose LA Tech because of how family-oriented Coach Cumbie, Coach Dex, and the rest of the staff are,” Jones said. “You can tell they genuinely care about their players beyond football, and that’s pretty rare in college football nowadays.”
Jones wrapped up his junior season at Norfolk State with 68 tackles in 12 games, playing under NFL legend Michael Vick.
