Louisiana Tech Lands Jones College Standout Jay Tyler
Jay Tyler has officially committed to Louisiana Tech.
A native of Glen Allan, Mississippi, Tyler will arrive in Ruston from Jones College with two years of eligibility remaining.
Explaining his decision, Tyler told BleedTechBlue, “When I stepped on campus, I felt like I was home. The coaching staff, the players, the people on campus — everyone showed so much love, and it just felt like the place to be.”
The 6-foot-1 left-hander is in the midst of an outstanding sophomore season for the Bobcats, averaging 16.9 points, 6.0 assists, 3.7 rebounds, and 1.5 steals per game through 19 contests.
Tyler is shooting 44 percent from the field, 33 percent from three-point range, and 81 percent from the free-throw line this season.
