The transfer portal has continued to swipe Wisconsin football players as the offseason continues, most recently regarding the team’s freshman running back. Dilin Jones will reportedly enter the transfer portal, sources tell On3.

The news comes just one day after freshman wide receiver Eugene Hilton Jr. opted to enter the transfer portal as well. This now marks the 15th Badger to leave, with Jones being no small loss. Jake Renfro, Christian Alliegro and Trech Kekahuna are other notable Wisconsin players who plan to leave.

The Maryland native recorded 300 rushing yards and two touchdowns across 76 carries in seven games, averaging nearly four yards per carry. A season-ending toe injury kept him from playing the second half of 2025. While he struggled to make a major impact at times, there was certainly potential to be a long-term piece for Wisconsin’s backfield.

Jones is the second Badger running back to transfer, after Cade Yacamelli announced his departure earlier in the month. The 19-year-old has a four-star, 93.21 Rivals industry ranking and was the 12th-best running back in the class of 2024.

The six-foot, 205-pound player will have three years of eligibility remaining. He is represented by AiC.Sports.
