BREAKING: In-State RB Kingston Allen Commits to Wisconsin
Wisconsin is now up to eight commitments from its own backyard. Following a spring practice visit, Green Bay (Wis.) Notre Dame tailback Kingston Allen has opted to stay home and play for the Badgers in 2027.
UW offered Allen a scholarship following his amazing junior season.
“That’s been the dream school since I was a little kid,” Allen said in a previous interview. “Just being a hometown kid, Wisconsin’s always the team I turn on the TV and watch their games. It’s just a surreal experience that I’ll never forget. Wisconsin’s definitely a high consideration and the school I want to go to when I’m older.”
Wisconsin beat out Northwestern for the four-star running back.
Green Bay Notre Dame finished 13-1, falling to West De Pere in the Division 2 state title game. Allen put up unreal numbers for the Tritons as a junior. Carrying the ball 357 times, Allen ran for 3,436 yards and 57 touchdowns while averaging 9.6 yards per carry. He also caught five passes for 112 yards and a score. His 57 rushing scores were a WIAA single-season record. In a round two playoff win over Slinger, Allen ran for a whopping 509 yards and seven touchdowns on 45 carries.
“I’m going to do whatever it takes to win,” he said. “If it requires putting up absurd statistics, that’s what I’m going to do. I leaned on the guys up front who helped me get it done. If big numbers come along with that, it’s a blessing.”
Allen also had offers from Northwestern, Eastern Michigan, North Dakota, and North Dakota State. Iowa, Iowa State, and Minnesota were also showing interest in Allen this winter. According to Rivals, Allen is the nation’s No. 15 ranked running back in the class of 2027.
Allen joins safety Dustin Roach (Waukesha, Wis.), offensive tackle Ethan McIntosh (Verona, Wis.), edge rusher Isaac Miller (Verona, Wis.), and tight end Korz Loken (Iola, Wis.), offensive tackle Cole Reiter, offensive lineman Hunter Mallinger, and offensive lineman Reece Mallinger in UW’s 2027 recruiting class.
