Wisconsin and head coach Luke Fickell are up to seven commitments in the class of 2027…and all hail from inside the state. On Wednesday, the Badgers picked up a pair of pledges from Sussex Hamilton offensive linemen Hunter Mallinger and Reece Mallinger.

The twin brothers, who have been a package deal, each held scholarship offers from Indiana, North Carolina, UCLA, Missouri, Kansas, Northwestern, Minnesota, Iowa State, and Stanford. Both are three-star prospects, according to the Rivals Industry; however, Hunter is a four-star prospect per Rivals.

Offensive line coach Eric Mateos was the lead recruiter for the Mallingers. Wisconsin now has four offensive line commits in their 2027 recruiting class, joining Ethan McIntosh (Verona) and Cole Reiter (Germantown).

Both Mallinger brothers are slated to take their official visits with the Badgers the first weekend of June. Rivals tabs Hunter as the nation’s No. 18 ranked interior offensive lineman and Reece at No. 82 in the country.

Wisconsin’s 2027 recruting class ranks top 20 nationally, according to the Rivals team recruiting rankings. Stay tuned to Badger Blitz for more on the Mallinger’s commitments…
