Shay Shippen

Shay is a 5-11 high i.q., versatile three level scorer and playmaker who is a Swiss Army knife on the court. She has 4 years of eligibility remaining, with a medical redshirt for the 25-26 season. (She had a successful foot surgery in January to correct a bunion and a sesamoid fracture.) Shay gained valuable experience learning from her coaches at Columbia and being part of their run to win the 2026 WBIT championship. Prior to Columbia: 2025 Idaho Gatorade Player of the Year and Idaho’s all-time leading scorer for all divisions with 2,372 career points. Skyline career record holder in points, rebounds (1,053), assists (333), free throws (598), 3-pointers (166), steals (258) and blocks (69) over 106 career games. Shay averaged 22.4 points and 9.9 rebounds over her Skyline career and had a career effective field goal percentage of 51%. Four-time First Team All-State, Four-time Post Register Area Female Athlete of the Year for all sports, Idaho State Basketball All-Star Game MVP. Shay earned a top three state finish in tennis in mixed doubles (2025) and a top six state finish in singles (2023 and 2024). Led the state of Idaho in assists in volleyball for the regular season as a setter in 2023-24. Qualified for states in the high jump in track. Shay played club basketball for Natalie Williams Basketball Academy 3SSB (2020-22) and FBC NWA / United West Coast GUAA (2022-24). Shay was ranked #152 in ASGR’s final ranking for the class of 2025 and received an Elite 150 4 Star rating from Prospects Nation.
