Wisconsin lands commitment from Detroit TE Jack Janda
Detroit (Mich.) Central Catholic tight end Jack Janda has committed to Wisconsin.
Head coach Luke Fickell and the Badgers beat out Illinois, Michigan State and Stanford among others.
The 6-foot-6, 240-pound Janda took his official visit to Madison over the weekend.
“I was really impressed this weekend with the city and the people in Madison and the culture they’re building,” Janda said. “I had some questions going in about their new offensive coordinator but I got those answered. The players were a big part too. Definitely a great group of guys that made it feel like home and all the coaches were really pushing for me and saying they wanted me to be a Badger.
“The energy inside the building was huge for me too. Everyone loved being there and getting to work. I’m excited to see what my future brings in Madison.”

The On3 Industry tabs Janda as the nation’s No. 45 tight end. He becomes commit No. 11 for Fickell and his staff in the 2026 class.
Future position coach Nate Letton and new offensive coordinator Jeff Grimes had a lot to do with Janda jumping into the fold.
“Coach Letton has done a good job recruiting me since freshman year too so I know him really well and over the past six months our relationship just kept growing and growing,” Janda said. “I think in a few years with Grimes there Wisconsin will be a hot spot for top tight ends in the country.”
