Washington the latest to offer 2028 QB Knox Kiffin
Class of 2028 quarterback prospect Knox Kiffin will draw plenty of eyeballs as he maneuvers through his recruiting process. He’s now landed his second Power Four offer.
Washington has entered the picture for the 6-foot-2 signal-caller. Jedd Fisch and the Huskies extended an offer on Wednesday evening:
After beginning his high school career at Palos Verdes Peninsula (Calif.), Kiffin moved to Oxford (Miss.) High and made some waves as a sophomore this fall. However, he’s now on the move again as his father, Lane, is the new head coach at LSU.
This fall for Oxford, Kiffin finished the season completing 59 of 98 passes for 1,058 yards and 11 touchdowns. The Chargers won 11 games and finished the year as the No. 3 team in Mississippi, per the Massey Ratings.
It remains to be seen where Kiffin will play in 2026. University Lab is one of the top programs in Louisiana and is notably right on LSU’s campus. He is currently unranked as a 2028 recruit, but also holds offers from SMU, Arkansas State, Western Kentucky, FIU and others.
During the fall, Kiffin took trips to Alabama and LSU. He’s yet to land offers from either prestigious SEC program, but when speaking with Rivals’ Adam Gorney last month, Kiffin was appreciative of the position he’s currently in.
“It was good,” he said of his latest stop in Tuscaloosa. “It was a good atmosphere and they’re good at what they do, the recruiting lounges, the seats, all of it. It was a good game, too, blue blood vs. blue blood.

“It was really cool just seeing the teams, all the five-stars and four-stars playing and all the money, the NIL value that was in the game. It was really cool seeing all of them out there and how they matched up.
“It’s definitely a blessing to go on these visits. I just have to take appreciation in getting invited to these things because not a lot of people get invited to them.”
Washington has signed a quarterback from the high school ranks in each of the last four cycles. Earlier this month, Wayne (N.J.) DePaul Catholic four-star QB Derek Zammit became the latest to ink with the Huskies. Three-star Dash Beierly signed the previous cycle, while the 2024 cycle brought eventual starter Demond Williams Jr. and four-star Dermaricus Davis.
“It was something special about U Dub,” Zammit told Rivals’ Steve Wiltfong about his decision. “I felt at home and I really liked the coaches. It was definitely crazy trying to figure it all out. I feel like I definitely made the right decision and I’m excited to see what the future holds.”
UW has taken some serious strides on the trail and just signed the No. 16 class in the 2026 cycle, according to the Rivals Industry Team Recruiting Rankings. That’s good for No. 5 in the Big Ten, ahead of Illinois, Iowa, Indiana, Minnesota and others.
