Virginia Tech flips 4-star LB Mathieu Lamah from Penn State
Manassas (Va.) Patriot four-star linebacker Mathieu Lamah has flipped his commitment from Penn State to Virginia Tech.
The 6-foot-3, 220-pound Lamah was in Blacksburg two weekends ago.
“The energy is insane,” Lamah said at the time. “All the fans, staff, professors all are thrilled to have him [Franklin] here.
“It’s just a full-circle moment for me coming to my home state, a school where I started my recruitment and I’m familiar with and how the fans are all rallying to him and players.”
Lamah chose the Hokies over the Nittany Lions, Rutgers and West Virginia. He loves the environment and support in Blacksburg.

“The fans and how much love they show their players and how they are so engaged still when program isn’t high right now,” Lamah said.
Lamah believes a Franklin-led program will get the best out of him.
“The amount of people that stayed loyal to him through all of this is the main thing,” Lamah said. “I know what he is capable of doing as a coach so I have full trust in him.”
Rivals ranks Lamah as the No. 21 linebacker in the country and No. 5 overall prospect in the state. The Rivals Industry which combines rankings from other services slots him No. 45 and No. 13 respectively.
