USC adds commitment from high-upside local prospect Andrew Williams
USC added another piece to its No. 2 class in the On3 Industry Football Team Recruiting Rankings on Wednesday, getting a pledge from EDGE Andrew Williams.
The 6-foot-5, 220-pounder out of Fremont (Calif.) chose the Trojans over offers from San Diego State and Colorado State, as well as interest from a number of other Power 4 programs.
“I’m thrilled to announce my commitment to The University of Southern California to continue my academic and athletic journey. It’s time to focus on my upcoming season,” Williams wrote on Twitter announcing the news.
As a junior, Williams totaled 80 tackles, including 10 for loss, to go along with nine sacks and three forced fumbles on defense. On the offensive side, he scored 12 all-purpose touchdowns — nine rushing and three receiving.

He is currently unranked in the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. However, he is rated by a three-star prospect by 247Sports.
Williams joins a Trojans’ class that is already among the best in the country in the 2026 cycle. USC has nine pledges early on, including top-30 prospects Xavier Griffin and RJ Sermons, along with four-star cornerback Brandon Lockhart, top-150 running back Shahn Alston, and four-star defensive lineman Braeden Jones.
Lincoln Riley and Co. are coming off a 2025 class that finished No. 15 nationally, led by five-star quarterback Husan Longstreet and elite defensive lineman Jahkeem Stewart.
