Top-35 overall recruit Trevor Manhertz commits to Indiana, reclassifies to 2026
Four-star Trevor Manhertz has committed to Indiana and will be reclassifying to 2026, he told Rivals.
The 6-foot-7 small forward out of Christ School (NC) is ranked as the No. 34 overall prospect in the 2027 class, per Rivals. His ranking will now be re-evaluated with his move into 2026.
Along with the Hoosiers, Manhertz received offers from Louisville, Charlotte, Old Dominion, and others. The Cary, NC native also took an official visit to Duke, but the Blue Devils never officially offered.

“I built a really good relationship with the coaches and the aura around Indiana basketball,” he said.

“Their ability to develop players like me and also having non basketball/ “recruit” talks.”

“I’m able to make shots at a high level while also being able to impact in other ways than shooting.”

Manhertz is IU’s third commitment in the 2026 class, joining four-star small forward Vaughn Karvala (No. 45 NATL) and three-star shooting guard Prince Alexander-Moody (No. 130 NATL). Hoosiers coach Darian DeVries also already has a pledge in the 2027 class: four-star shooting guard Chase Branham (No. 40 NATL).
