Top 2026 recruit Jenica Lewis commits to Notre Dame
Top 2026 recruit Jenica Lewis has committed to Notre Dame, she announced on Thursday. The 5-10 guard from Johnston (IA) High School chose the Fighting Irish over Oregon, TCU and Iowa. She also had scheduled official visits to North Carolina, Duke and Kentucky.
“Definitely just how people coach,” Lewis told Rivals of important factors in her decision. “Coaching and playing style are big. Just honestly, I love how coaches just get to know the student even off the court — just having a good relationship. Honestly, teammates matter a lot to me and just how they connect with each other. I don’t really like groups and sections and friend groups, and I just enjoy being as one.”

When asked about Notre Dame, Lewis noted their development.
“I talk to them, actually, a lot,” she said. “I visited there once already, and I loved it. There’s just a really good family culture there. They produced, obviously, WNBA players, so it’s really nice.”
Notre Dame has now landed commitments from Lewis, Jacy Abii, Amari Byles, Bella Ragone and Isabella Sangha.
