Top 2026 recruit Jacy Abii commits to Notre Dame
Top 2026 recruit Jacy Abii has committed to Notre Dame, she announced on Saturday. The 6-2 wing from Frisco (TX) Legion Prep Academy chose the Irish over UCLA, LSU, Texas, and Tennessee.
“One thing I’ve been able to kind of raise up in my priorities is just the way they take care of players’ bodies,” Abii previously told Rivals. “I think, going through my injury, that has kind of opened my eyes to just making sure that wherever I go, they’re going to take care of me and make sure that I can play for as long as I end up wanting to play for. Looking at the performance facilities and the athletic training department has become really important for me to look at. Then, obviously just connecting and making sure that I feel like I can play there for my entire career.”
Abii previously talked to Rivals about her experience with Notre Dame.
“I love the staff, love the coaches,” she previously told Rivals. “I love the culture there. I think that’s one of the things that stands out for me. I love the culture there. I could see myself definitely fitting in with them pretty easily.”

Other notes from Abii’s recruitment:
“I’d say I’m pretty versatile and pretty open to anything,” Abii said. “I think I just want to allow the team to win and make everybody else around me better. I think before I get to college, I definitely want to improve my shot – just to stretch the floor a little more.”
“I want to make sure wherever I go to school is family-oriented,” Abii told Rivals. “I want to make sure that I can be there without constantly missing my family or something like that.”
