The recruitment of 2024 DB Brayshon Williams is taking off
Offer No. 1 for Brayshon Williams came in on December 2. Rhode Island pulled the trigger first on the 5-foot-11, 170-pound sophomore out of Lakeland (Fla.) Lake Gibson.
Shortly after Christmas, in about a 24 hour period, the talented safety added offers from Miami, South Carolina, and South Florida.
“It is exciting getting these offers and I just have to give God and my coaches thanks,” Williams told On3. “My coaches put me in a position to be in the spotlight to get these offers.
“All these offers have surprised me. The coaches like my film, my work ethic, and my length. I just have to keep working hard.”
Williams is still learning about the schools that have offered. He is set to take his first college visit on January 22.

“I am going to Miami and I am excited about that visit. They have a great history at producing defensive backs, so I want to get down there.”
Visits to South Carolina and South Florida could get scheduled as well.
“South Florida is close to home, so I want to visit there. South Carolina’s defensive backs coach is Torrian Gray, and he is from my area (Polk County), so there is that home vibe with him.”
Florida and Kentucky have been showing interest in Williams. He finished the 2021 season with 30 tackles, eight pass break-ups, and four interceptions. Two of the interceptions were returned for touchdowns.
