Rutgers, Northwestern offer 4-star defensive lineman Devan Houstan
Two Big Ten programs have extended offers to Hagerstown (Md.) St. James School four-star defensive lineman Devan Houstan over the last 24 hours.
Northwestern started by offering Houstan a scholarship on Wednesday night and Rutgers followed up with its own offer Thursday.
Houstan is the No. 242 overall recruit in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Rutgers has one commit in the 2023 cycle in Union City (N.J.) three-star offensive lineman JaSire Peterson, while Northwestern has a verbal from Dearborn (Mich.) Divine Child four-star offensive lineman Dylan Senda.
