OT7 2026: Big name coaches, elite recruits headline Overtime's 7v7 season
The fifth iteration of the Overtime OT7 Finals returns in 2026, and the regular season gives 16 teams a shot at earning one of the eight spots in the OT7 Finals in June.
With 16 teams in the field, and two conferences, the Gold Conference and Diamond Conference, the five weeks of the regular season in Dallas will determine slotting and placement in each conference and who gets their chance at winning the OT7 Finals.
Each team will play three weeks of the five scheduled weeks in Dallas, with a total of 12 games, followed by double elimination bracket play during Weeks 4 and 5.
Big-name NFL veterans dot the coaching roster while several of the premier prospects in the 2027 and 2028 classes fill the roster.
NFL veterans include Aaron Donald (AD 2Tenths), AJ Greene (Five Stars), Cam Newton (C1N), Derek Carr (Five Stars), Ja’Marr Chase (Team Uno), James Jones (Five Stars), Nick Collins (Five Stars), Puka Nacua (Team Puka), Robert Griffin III (RG3) and Torrey Smith (Level82).
Some of the top recruits in the country fill the roster, including a half-dozen prospects in the 2027 top 32 by Rivals, like five-star quarterback Will Mencl, the No. 1 quarterback nationally, five-star running back Kemon Spell, the nation’s top running back in the 2027 class, and four-star receiver Nick Lennear.
Defensive stalwarts include John Meredith III, the No. 1 cornerback in the country, four-star linebacker Kaden Henderson, the No. 1 linebacker, and four-star cornerback Donte’ Wright.
Other key 2027 participants include Texas Tech quarterback commit Kavian Bryant, Ohio State quarterback commit Brady Edmunds, Nebraska quarterback commit Trae Taylor, No. 3 quarterback Israel Abrams, Oklahoma edge commit Krew Jones, dynamic receiver Eric McFarland Jr, the Offensive MVP of the 2026 Polynesian Bowl and receiver Trayvis Hunter, the younger brother of Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter.
Headliners from the 2028 class include the No. 1 player in the class, receiver Brysen Wright, the No. 3 prospect in the class, A’Mir Sears, No. 3 receiver Braylon Clark, receiver Roye Oliver, the National Sophomore of the Year.
