Nation's No. 1 center Eric Reibe commits to UConn Huskies
UConn is on the board with its second commitment of the 2025 recruiting cycle, as Potomac (Md.) The Bullis School center Eric Reibe has pledged to the Huskies.
He chose Dan Hurley and Co. over Kansas, Oregon, Creighton, Indiana and more than a dozen other programs.
The 7-foot, 225-pounder took official visits to each of those schools over the past year, but ultimately it was the two-time defending national champions who won out.
“What stands out to me is their player development,” he previously told On3’s Joe Tipton. “Especially with what they’ve done with (Donovan) Clingan. That fits in with the play style too with Clingan. He can play make, handoffs, slips, all that good stuff. Their recent winning history of course. Back to back National Champions are very attractive. Coach Hurley’s environment is cool too because I know he would push me to my ceiling. Also, the opportunity for me. (Hurley) has a straight plan and vision.”
