Top-125 recruit, St. Louis native Nicholas "Butta" Randall commits to Missouri
Nicholas “Butta” Randall, a 6-foot-8 power forward in the 2025 class, has committed to Missouri and head coach Dennis Gates, he told On3.
The senior originally from Saint Louis is attending AZ Compass for his final year of high school, a prep school located in Chandler, Arizona.
Along with the Tigers, Randall also received offers from Kansas State, Saint Louis, Ole Miss, Louisville, Tennessee, Virginia Tech, TCU, Illinois, Creighton, Cal, and others.
Randall is a three-star prospect and the No. 117 overall recruit in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Rankings. He’s also the No. 29 power forward prospect. The On3 Industry Ranking is a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Randall on his commitment to Missouri
Nicholas Randall discussed his decision with On3.
“Missouri has always been home for me and when I got to campus I feel like the relationship got even better and the culture there is great. I feel like as a player I will do great there.”
What led to his trust in head coach Dennis Gates and the coaching staff?
“Coach Gates and his staff have have been on me for three years now and how they say they will use me was very consistent so that built some trust with me.”
In his own words, what type of player is Missouri getting in Nicholas Randall?
“I describe myself as a point forward that can do it all really. I can score at will if needed and I take pride in defense.”
He has a message for Mizzou fans.
“I’m coming home, go Tigers!”
